EASY BUTTER CRACKERS
1cup flour
[+ some for work surface]
1-2 tablespoons thyme
[or other spice like rosemary…]
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons cold butter
½ cup heavy cream
egg white
coarse salt
spice for garnish
_ mix flour, thyme, salt and sugar in a bowl
[I like to add some chili flakes]
_ add butter and knead
_ add cream
_ knead until dough forms
_ wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 min
_ preheat oven to 190°C
_ on a lightly floured surface roll out dough [very thin]
_ cut pieces into shapes of your liking
_ transfer to a baking sheet
_ brush with egg white
_ sprinkle with salt and/or spices
_ bake until golden brown and crisp
[about 15-20 min - but check once in a while]

130 g Mehl

1 Teelöffel Salz
½ Teelöffel Zucker
2 Esslöffel kalte Butter
125 ml Sahne
Eiweiß
grobes Salz
Gewürz zum Bestreuen
