CHILI CON CARNE
700 g minced beef
2-3 onions
1can red beans
1 can sweet corn [optional]
1 can diced tomatoes
4 tomatoes
2-4 cloves garlic
1 yellow bell pepper
4 tablespoons tomato paste
500 ml chicken stock
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon coriander powder
chili
salt
pepper
sour cream / creme fraiche
fresh cilantro
_ chop onion, garlic and chili
_ fry in olive oil [for a minute or two]
_ add meat and fry until it turns color
_ season with spices and tomato paste
[amount of chili depends on how spicy you like it and what peppers you use]
_ pour in chicken stock
_ cook for 30 min
_ dice tomatoes and bell pepper
_add beans, corn, caned tomatoes, bell peppers and tomatoes to the pot
_ season to taste
[usually you can add quite a bit more cumin and oregano]
_ cook for an additional 30 min
_ serve with sour cream and sprinkle with fresh cilantro
[this is a dish that’s usually even better reheated the next day]

2-4 Zehen Knoblauch
1 gelbe Paprika
4 Esslöffel Tomatenmark
500 ml Hühnerbrühe
2 Teelöffel gemahlener Kreuzkümmel
2 Teelöffel Oregano
1 Teelöffel Korianderpulver
Chili
Salz
Pfeffer
Sauerrahm / Creme Fraiche
frischer Koriander
